Love is kind

And the crowd went wild

I was at a Yankees game the other day at the "US Cellular" field in Chicago against the White Sox. I think that I just think differently than most people sometimes. I can be an idealist a lot. But I think many people who love their faith think like this, too. Anyway, I was watching the game and there was a break between innings. I was looking around, observing people (which I LOVE to do) and I had just gotten my new pair of glasses so I could actually see the people, too. Then I scanned the whole stadium and was amazed at the amount of people there. Then it hit me: God is passionately in love with every single solitary person there. And I remebered being at sporting events before and having that same realization. It's really neat at ND football games with the Touchdown Jesus in the background. And at these games is just a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the people in the world that God is soooo passionately in love with. I feel how intimately He loves me and it's so hard to fathom he feels that same way about every single person on this Earth right now and in the past and in the future. I think my mind is about to explode!

Grace like rain

Awhile ago, I was sitting in adoration listening to good ol' Josh play his wonderful music for the Lord. At the time, he was playing Delirious's "Majesty". I absolutely love this song! Everytime I hear it, I have to sing aloud to the part that goes, "Now I've found the greatest love of all is mine cuz you layed down your life, the greatest sacrifice..." This particular night, though, there was another part in the song that hit me like CRAAAZY! The verse goes like this: "Your grace has found me just as I am, empty handed but alive in your hands..." I continued to dwell on it and found it amazing. The Lord and His wonderful, saving grace, comes to us just as we are. If we are in the lowest of low, he will humble himself to shower us with graces so that we may get through life and be blessed. How awesome is that?! The Lord is our Heavenly King. How many kings and royalty humble themselves to go out into the filthy streets to meet their people in order to make their lives a lil better? Not many, but our King and Father loves His children that much. And even when we are struggling, we should remember to call on His grace, and not to forget that even in chaos and sin, we are still so worthy of His grace.
